Middle Tennessee State University Admissions
There are two paths for admission to MTSU for first-time freshmen: guaranteed admission and admission by review. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed recommended college prep courses and must obtain one of the following: 3.0 GPA, or ACT score of 22+, or 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19+. Students who don't meet the requirements for guaranteed admission can still be considered via admission by review. Students are asked to submit a personal statement form which will be reviewed by a committee. Transfer students follow a similar process with the following requirements for guaranteed admission: 24 hours with a 2.0 or higher post-secondary GPA, or meet the above freshman guaranteed admission standards.
